Reyna Roberts is a pop artist, singer-songwriter, and classically trained pianist in Hollywood, CA.
Reyna was born in Anchorage, Alaska to parents who are U.S. Army veterans. Reyna was born two months prematurely and weighed only two pounds. She remained in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the hospital for two months before she could go home with her parents.
Doctors predicted that she would have cognitive, physical, visual, and vocal developmental delays caused by her premature birth. Upon learning this, a research team headed by Reyna’s mom created a music intervention program that would teach Reyna to talk. Thus, Reyna’s passion for music began.
After the family moved to California, Reyna began training with her piano instructor and mentor, Joseph Itaya. In May 2014 Reyna recorded her first single “Lying to Myself” and released it on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play. She also filmed the official music video for “Lying to Myself,” released in June of the same year.
In 2015, Reyna completed an EP comprising of songs that were inspired by her experiences in high school. Reyna was featured as a special guest on the Spring 2016 High School Nation Tour, and is scheduled to perform on the Fall 2016 East Coast tour.
Reyna has performed across the U.S. and several venues in California, among these being House of Blues, Avalon, Bar 20, The Mint, and Zen.
As an artist, it is important for Reyna to give back to the community. She has performed to assist in fundraising efforts for organizations such as Stand for the Silent, Rett Syndrome Awareness, The Wounded Warrior Project, Teen Impact Affiliates, and the Empowerment Project.
Reyna is a registered member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and The Recording Academy. She is also the founder of Music Reigns Publishing.
Reyna takes her musical inspiration from several artists who have made their names in various genres.
